5 Easy-to-Wear Nude Lipsticks (Drugstore + MAC)
Think you can't wear nude lipstick? Think again! Some nudes can make you look washed out. However, the right nude lip color can be flattering (and some will suit almost anyone). If you haven't nailed your perfect hue, there are neutral, universally flattering nude shades out there. These shades tend to be simple (but still very pretty) and typically complement more skin tones than those that are quite muted and pale. Below are five everyday nudes for a soft, subtle, and fresh-faced look.
e.l.f. Studio Mineral Lipstick in Rosy Tan
This is a rosy pink, warmer nude. It's a good neutral color. The formula isn't super long-lasting, but it's creamy and leaves a soft, velvety finish. It's also paraben/preservative-free and contains no chemical dyes. e.l.f. Studio Mineral Lipstick retails for $5.
Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Crème Brulee
This is a light-medium peachy tan. It's not going to pack on color and be long-lasting, but it adds subtle warmth and leaves a glossy sheen. It's moisturizing, applies effortlessly, and is a good everyday shade if you're looking for a glossy, subtle nude. Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters generally retail for $6-$8 at the drugstore.
L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipcolour in Fairest Nude
This is one of my favorite drugstore nudes. It's a beautiful mid-tone neutral pink. Fairest Nude is creamy and wears comfortably on the lips. It does have a noticeable scent, but it's not overwhelming. This color looks great paired with light makeup or a smokey eye look. It's beautiful on its own or topped with a nude gloss and looks polished and sophisticated, day or night. This lipstick retails for $6-$9 at the drugstore.
MAC Lipstick in High Tea
High Tea is described by MAC as a "beiged pink with pearl." It has a lustre finish, providing a pretty sheen and soft glow. It adds a sheer wash of color that goes with every look. It's a smooth, understated champagne nude - a grab-and-go kind of lipstick. It retails for $16.
MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Bare Again
Bare Again is described by MAC as a "pinky neutral beige." The packaging is sleek, the formula is creamy & moisturizing, and the color is flattering on many skin tones. It's a "my lips but better" shade and a classic hybrid variety nude. A little goes a long way as the formula is quite buttery. Bare Again retails for $18.
I hope this was helpful! I'd love to hear what your favorite nude lipsticks (or glosses) are! I'm always on the hunt. ;)
